It’s Skin Talk Tuesday! Caring for your skin in the Winter 🥶

❄️As the temperature begins to drop, our skin can be difficult to deal with. It may seem like a product that was working great yesterday, just doesn’t seem as effective today. 😔

🥶Those with dry skin types may notice their skin become more drier and tighter, while those with sensitive skin may be more prone to irritation. For those with oily skin, the colder months can be helpful seeing as the skin will be less oily, but this can lead to a buildup of dead skin cells that will create congestion, breakouts, and a very dull complexion. 😫

So, how does one better care for their skin during the winter? 🤔

➡️For starters, exfoliation is key! It removes the dead skin and allows serums and hydration to penetrate deeper.

➡️ Next, conditioning your skin once a month with a professional facial treatment using acids such as glycolic, lactic, and salicylic, will work to break down build up in the skin and allow for accelerated cell shedding.

👇🏾 Below are some product tips for avoiding dry and dull Winter skin. All of these products are included in the Institut DERMed Renewing Mini Facial Kit in my online store!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾 Order yours today for just $45! 🛍

1. Use a creamy cleanser with milk proteins like the Institut’ DERMed Enhancing Creamy Cleanser. It removes makeup, dirt, and oil, without stripping skin of precious oils that bond water to the cells.

2. After cleansing, balance your skin with a corrective toner, like the Institut DERMed Renewing Toner, to hydrate and prepare your skin for better penetration of your serum and moisturizer.

3. Prior to putting on moisturizer, apply the Institut’ DERMed Anti-Oxidant Peptide serum. It contains Spin Trap Proteins that bond nutrient-rich water to the skin and provide the first layer of hydration and protection.

4. Use Institut’ DERMed Renewing Moisturizer as it provides maximum skin protection for those with dry skin.

5. Last but not least, 🗣SPF SPF SPF!
